kaviraj ayurveda is the living continuation of a three-generation healing legacy — founded in 1964 by the late Dr. T.V. Manickam, scholar of Tamil, master of classical medicine, and the man who spearheaded the establishment of the Government Siddha Medical College at Tirunelveli. His son, Dr. Moorthy, carried that knowledge into modern Ayurvedic practice with quiet excellence, honoured as one of Tamil Nadu's senior-most traditional physicians.
Today, Dr. Kannan and Dr. Gayathri lead the hospital in Gobichettipalayam, blending classical Ayurveda, Siddha, Varmam and Nadi diagnosis with modern clinical rigour. Their work spans Panchakarma, women's health, chronic disorders and pulse-based diagnosis — practised the way our family has practised it for sixty years.
We are not a wellness brand. We are a working hospital, run by the family whose name is on the door.
